Beard Transplantation for Increased Beard Growth
85 Kliniken is an expert in beard transplantations and has performed hundreds
of treatments of this type, all resulting in a natural appearance.
Although the treatment has similarities to a traditional hair transplantation, it requires
incredible skill and concentration when placing the hair follicles,
otherwise there is a risk of not achieving a natural appearance and the
new beard not looking attractive.
Even if your beard looked fine initially or if you didn’t have a beard before,
the new hair will provide you with a permanent result. You can treat the new
beard just like normal as you can shave regularly, trim it short, or do
whatever you desire.
85 Kliniken offers this treatment at our clinics in Gothenburg and Istanbul.
So please contact us today for a free, no-obligation consultation if you want
to achieve a 100% natural beard by undergoing a beard transplantation.
How Does the Beard Transplantation Work?
We start by taking a blood sample and then shave and locally anesthetize the area
from where the hair follicles will be taken, which is usually the back of the head. Then we extract the
planned hair follicles using small needles. The small holes that occur when
the hair follicles are extracted close up within a week without leaving scars.
After that, we mark the area where the hair follicles will be transplanted and anesthetize
the area. Then we open channels and place the hair follicles. After that, we perform a
PRP treatment and bandage the chin/head and go through your aftercare plan.
The procedure can take between 6-10 hours and varies depending on the number of hair follicles.
How Long Does It Take to Achieve Full Results?
After about 3-4 months, you should start seeing a difference, and full results are visible after about 9-12
months. At 85 Kliniken, we evaluate the results after about 12 months to assess the
final outcome.
The most common reason for needing a transplantation is having too few hair follicles in the face. The cause of this is almost always heredity. But of course, there are other reasons here as well, such as illnesses or facial injuries from accidents.

Before a beard transplantation, a consultation is conducted where we review the patient’s individual conditions, expectations, and the achievable result. We also examine hair quality and ask questions about general health to determine what is possible.
Then price information is provided along with suggestions for different times for a possible operation. We thoroughly explain how an operation is performed and how aftercare should be done. All to make you feel as secure as possible in your decision.
Important to consider before an operation;
- Do not take any medications days before the procedure
- Do not consume alcoholic beverages
- Reduce or quit the use of tobacco if possible
- Alcohol and tobacco can reduce the survival rate of the new hair follicles
We also assist you in financing your beard transplantation through a variety of financing options. We have, among other things, collaborated with Medical Finance for a long time. Contact us and we will help you with financing that suits you.
The area that has received new hair is very sensitive and must be protected from the sun. Shampoo should be used after the second day after the procedure. Shampoo is important to prevent scab formation around the hair.
The transplanted hairs will fall out during the first 10 days but will start to grow again after two to three months and increase in growth and volume over the next 6-9 months.
