Male pattern baldness occurs due to increased sensitivity of hair follicles to testosterone, eventually leading to involution. It affects genetically predisposed men and can begin after puberty as early as 17-18 years of age.

You won’t have eczema or rashes; instead, your hairline recedes due to shrinking hair follicles (caused by the hormone) which reduces the available space for hair growth. This also leads to progressively finer and fuzzier hair strands that eventually disappear.

Hair transplantation has become increasingly popular in recent years. There are various methods,
such as FUE, DHI, FUT. The most common approach involves extracting hair follicles from the back of the head and transplanting them to bald areas (FUE).
Since the hair follicles at the back of the head are not affected by male hormones, the transplanted hair is not susceptible to loss. However, many recommend continuing with PRP treatments to maintain a portion of your existing hair along with the transplanted hair.
The effectiveness of hair transplantation varies depending on the extent of baldness, the quality of hair at the back of the head, and the elasticity of the scalp.
