PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) -also known as Dracula or Vamyr treatment- is a bio-rejuvenating cell technology that, through growth factors in our platelets, stimulates the skin’s cell regeneration and production of collagen and elastic fibers. Even the scalp can be treated to revive declining hair growth.

Platelets are small blood cells and their main task is to stop bleeding that has occurred in the body’s blood vessels by obstructing the open wounds that have occurred. The platelets control the blood clotting so that a complementary clot is formed which clogs the wound. Among these growth factors are stem cells that include binds to blood stem cells and stimulates them to grow and divide, thereby multiplying, and also to cells that build up fine vessels. In the primary (cellular) hemostasis, proteins from damaged collagen come into contact with the platelets. The activated platelets bind to collagen and secrete granules leading to the release of adenosine diphosphate and fibrinogen, healing the tissue.
With PRP you get a higher concentration and activation of these growth factors.

The treatment is performed by taking a certain amount of blood from the patient, as in a regular blood test. The plasma and platelets are then separated from the blood by so-called centrifugation and then placed in sterile tubes with a stabilizing factor where they are activated. This platelet-containing plasma contains various growth factors that increase the healing process of damaged / aged skin. Finally, the plasma is injected with the platelets in the areas to be treated.
The process is outpatient and the recovery takes place quickly and without problems.
